It is always a sad day when we lose one of our Sapper family. Whether they were a Veteran or currently serving, the REA are here to help remember the Royal Engineers who have passed away, and to try and relieve some of the stresses that their families go through at such a difficult time.

Notification of Passing & Memoriam

If you would like to notify us of the passing of an old comrade you can do this online by clicking on the button below. This will allow us to register the passing of an old comrade and let us begin helping the relatives as soon as possible.

The form includes an option to let us know whether the informant (after consulting with any surviving family members) would like to authorize an ‘In Memoriam’ entry in The Sapper magazine and the online Corps Memorial Book. The entries into both The Sapper magazine and online Corps Memorial Book will include a simple two or three line obituary.

Due to unforeseen circumstances regarding our provider, the Corps Memorial Book is undergoing a complete revamp. We are working hard to get this finished as as soon as possible, but it is an incredibly large ongoing project. Therefore we have decided to start by adding the 2022 entries and we will be looking to backfill previous entries as soon as possible.

‘In Memoriam’ entries can still be still be authorized for entry into the Sapper Magazine, and will be added to the Corps Memorial Book as soon as possible. We know how important the Corps Memorial Book is to our members, and we thank you for your patience whilst we develop the new book.

You can now view the 2022 entries in the memorial book below:
