Legacies and Donations

Now and then there comes an impulse
To the heart of every man,
To perform a kindly action,
Or assist some noble plan;

But too often – there’s the pity! –
He, procrastinating, cries:
“I will do the deed to-morrow”;
And alas! the impulse dies.

So, Good Friend, if you are prompted
When perusing this appeal,
To assist our earnest efforts
(For our needs are very real),
