Research for TV Documentary

Joanna Dawson of Mandrill Television is carrying out some research for a new World War II documentary for the Discovery channel.

She is working on a 5 part series with one of the episodes focussing on 'Invasion' in 1940.  With this she is looking into home defence and has come across the massive amount of home defence structures that were built along the English coast, including bunkers, pill boxes and fortresses.

Additionally from her research she has found that it was the Royal Engineers that were largely in charge of the construction of these defences, and she is very keen to see if any members of the Royal Engineers who were a part of this movement can be found from member of the Royal Engineers Association.  If you can help Joanna with her research, with the possibility of being interviewed, you should contact her direct:
