Medway Armed Forces Day
Following protracted discussions the Armed Forces Day event so well promoted at The Historic Dockyard Chatham is to be taken on by Medway Council at a freely accessible location in the historic town of Rochester.They hope that out of this ‘re-planted acorn' a new and reinvigorated Armed Forces Day in Medway will flourish.
All qualifying veterans are invited to the historic town of Rochester in Kent where Armed Forces Day will be celebrated on Saturday 25th June. The occasion will consist of an Armed Forces and Veterans' Parade through the High Street led by the Band of Her Majesties Royal Marines, a drumhead service in the Rochester Castle Gardens followed by an Armed Forces and Veterans' Reception at the Castle Gardens.
In the first instance all interested standard bearers, branches and individuals should write by post to the parade organiser stating the following basic information:
Ø Arm of Services Ø Association Branch Name
Ø YES or NO to potential participation
Ø Contact Name and Postal Address
Ø Contact Phone Number
Ø Contact E-mail address
